Being creative takes gut, effort, drive, and a love for the written word. 

Words speak volume when they are thought out, excersised, and put to work by a creative force.  They can bring to life a story that a reader, even living in the most remote of places, can understand, love, find passion in, and want more of. 

When you look at the your words on your writing wall, what do they say?  What do say about your creative scale and the drive behind it?  What do you want them to say in your creative literary works?

All in all; it comes down to you the writer and the words that are on your wall. Those words can take on a literary trip of lifetime. Spawning a great story for many readers to enjoy and pass on to the next.

WRITING FOR YOUR LIFE

Here's a new one for all of you to think about; "writing for your life."

When you write for your life, you are essentially saying you are putting your blood, sweat and tears into your story.  It says you are creating the best story you can possibly create from within. 

I know a thing or two about writing for your life.  I have authored over 12 books, host a literary talk radio show, and publish over 8 blogs. 

My love is literature and, with that, when I am creating a story for my audience, and potential readers I am saying, I'm putting my all into it no matter what. 

Being creative comes from within along with some instruction.  As long as you exercise that creativity and use your instruction you can create a story that's out of this world. 

All of it comes from within you the storyteller, which means you are writing for you life to tell the best story you can possibly tell.

Today, take heed and get creative and write and for your life.

CREATING YOUR OWN HOLIDAY LEGACY BY STORYTELLING!

The holidays is the part of the year that most of us look forward to in a major way.  It's a special time that we gather and spend time with friends and family to show how much we love each other.

For this holiday make it special by starting your own family legacy by storytelling. 

It's a great way to freeze those special moments that happen during the holiday season with family and friends.

To get started designate someone who you believe has an ok writing ability (doesn't have to be a professional). Then, get all the materials like a scrap-book, pens, lots of paper, cameras and your family.  After doing all of this, make sure the individual designated has all the materials needed to start the documentation. 

As you attend family dinners/parties be sure to document what's happening so that you won't have much to do when the holidays are all over. 

When it's complete seal it away in a safe place for years to come.

Remember the holidays are more than just gift giving. It's about family, friends and love.  Take the time to create a holiday family legacy by storytelling.

TAKE A MENTAL NOTE!

Writing can help us in many ways to see things clearly and to tell the kinds of stories we want to tell to our potential audience.

Many of us who are writers are always on the move and going about our daily lives.

As your out and about today, take a mental note of what's going on around you.  Sometimes those small things can yield big returns in the creative process. 

It's also important to take a mental note because incorporating real life aspects into your stories can have a real life affect on your potential reading audience.

Today; as your running around and going about your business, take a mental note.  You never know where it will take your story.

Storytellers!

Storytelling is an exciting way to reveal something interesting or just to be creative.

As you tell your story, be sure to incorporate something spicy, dramatic, unforgettable and down right interesting.

Start by looking at your own life, but changing it up so that it seems new.  Once you've done that, take it to the next level by creating good characters around what your story is truly about.  Remember it says alot when your characters pop.

Rock your lit skills means just that.

As a writer you learn many different things throughout life. Many of your life lessons can put you on a path to great storytelling.

It's important to pay attention as a writer to your surroundings, situations in your life, and those savory juicy moments that we often think about. Those are the things that you can infuse into your stories to create real life storytelling to your readers.

FLOWING AND SHOWING!

Writing gives us that feeling of release and awareness that we just don't get anywhere else. Staring back at your words tells you something about yourself in more ways than we care to admit.

Then there's other times when we are writing and we are flowing and showing our abilities to tell a story.  A good flow in writing is worth having when we are trying to tell a story because it enables us to enjoy the experience. 

Today flow and show in your writing. Whether writing in your personal journal, or for publication, having a good flow in your writing allows for a good show of your work.

There's nothing like a strong writer that knows their stuff. Most of all, there's nothing like a strong writer that's confident in their abilities to tell "their" own stories.

Being literary strong is something you must find within yourself. No one can give it to you and you can't buy it from a literary shop.

It's your own thing and yours only. The more you learn, and get comfortable with who you are as a writer, then your storytelling will shine in so many ways.

UGLY INSPIRATION!

Inspiration can come from any experience, relationship, friendship, and many other sources.

As we continue to live our lives we more often experience "ugly" situations, that take hold and paralyze us in more ways than we care to admit. Looking at those situations can sometime give us a story, a poem, or an essay that's meaningful.

Life is beautiful as we know it to be, and with life comes the bad, the very bad and the ugly. Getting inspired from ugly experiences can help heal those situations.

Today, as you begin to write and work on your novel or write in your journal, think about an "ugly" situation that has stopped you, paralyzed you, and gain inspiration from it. Something that is so "ugly" and so tramatic can breed a new outlook, motivation, and beautiful inspiration. That in itself can produce a story out of this world.

SPICY LIT NIGHT CAP! Word Play: Release!

Thinking of this word, I automatically think to set free from bondage, restraint, and confinement.

It's a word that you can use many different ways in your storytelling to build up your characters, dialogue and to just build up and close an event or scene.

A word like this, if used correctly, can create an innovative, very intimate, and sexy sex scene in your story!

Saying "release" brings a massive amount of thoughts that can add substance, as you bring the story to a close.

Tonight, think about "release" and how you can play this spicy, sexy, and adventurous word up in your storytelling.

Show, don't tell!

Is an admonition to fiction writers to write in a manner that allows the reader to experience the story through a character's action, words, thoughts, senses, and feelings rather than through the narrator's exposition, summarization, and description.

Writing in this way is very important, as it allows your reader to develop images of where the story takes place, what the character looks like, and many other aspects of your story. Showing the reader is unique to every writer. As you tell your story, you show it to your reader in your own unique writing style.

That's a clear indication that your writing is different and that you can totally pull off the showing aspect of the story as you tell it.

Today show your reader in your storytelling and let them journey with you as they read your story.

SPICY LIT NIGHT CAP! Word Play: Gush!

The word of the evening is a word that can be taken to the highest power. It can definitely can be used in unique ways to explain many different things. Yes, we are talking about "gush!"

When I think of this word it reminds of ecrotic lit. Lit that takes you to a sensual place and gives you soft pinches of tingles and jabs that truly get's your mind wondering.

"Gush" is a word that can say many things in rough or soft ways. It can truly take your reader on a journey through rough seas or soft jabs of intimacy in a story. 
















A masterpiece in the making; "gush" can mesmerize and captivate any reading audience, as long as you the writer stay true and keep it real with how you want to say it.

Tonight, think about "gush" and incorporate it in your story or create a whole new "gushy" story that says it's all the "gush."

ROCKING OUT YOUR LIT!

So much goes into writing each and everytime you decide to pick up your pen.  It can be a long boring process or a fun creative process depending on how your creative spirit comes out.

Rocking out your lit is a technique that we have develped to help writers have fun when writing. It's a technique that can make the process of your writing go smoothly and help your creativity explode into a story tree!

All you need is your pen, paper (no computer), your favorite tunes and nice area to work. Before you start to write, listen to your favorite song and listen to the words in the song. Now write six words down on your paper as well as still listening to your favorite song.  After the song goes off, take a look at all the words you have written down on your paper. Take those words and think about other words that are related or that may rhyme with that word.  Now build your story tree from those six main words.  After you have done that, then look at it and create a short story from one of those six story trees or all six.

Read the story back and think about how you can take parts of those six short stories and mesh them into your main novel or develop a totally new novel from the "story tree techniqe."

Today use this technique to overcome your so-called writer's block, boredom or just use it as you take a break from writing that great novel.

GETTING RAW WITH EMOTION!

Writing helps us in so many ways to express what we are feeling. When we write, we are letting out all sorts of emotions and feelings that we keep bottled up. Expressing these emotions in the raw are what gives us that feeling of "what a relief."

It's the same in our storytelling. When we are creating stories we are expressing through the characters the raw emotion of what we are feeling.  As you do this, your characters will have a real effect to them in your story.  Characters make the story, so giving them that raw emotion is important and also important to your readers as your readers do connect with your characters.

This is the reason why writers have to keep on writing daily to improve their writing skill and how they tell a story. Often times expressing raw emotion can give you the writer that extra added boost to keep your storytelling interesting, juicy, and to your readers that; down right "I don't want to put this book down!" 

Today create a journal and write daily to improve upon how you express your raw emotion in your story telling.

TURN UP THE LITERARY HEAT!

If your writing a novel or some poetry turn up the literary heat!

What you say can be the driving force behind whether or not your work is read over and over again. Sometimes it's how you say things that get's the readers attention.

Today turn up the literary heat by incorporating words and off the beaten path dialogue between your characters in your novel or your poem. A great way to do this; is to research different devices and techniques to enable you bring a different flavor to your storytelling or poetry.
