Here's a new one for all of you to think about; "writing for your life."
When you write for your life, you are essentially saying you are putting your blood, sweat and tears into your story. It says you are creating the best story you can possibly create from within.
I know a thing or two about writing for your life. I have authored over 12 books, host a literary talk radio show, and publish over 8 blogs.
My love is literature and, with that, when I am creating a story for my audience, and potential readers I am saying, I'm putting my all into it no matter what.
Being creative comes from within along with some instruction. As long as you exercise that creativity and use your instruction you can create a story that's out of this world.
All of it comes from within you the storyteller, which means you are writing for you life to tell the best story you can possibly tell.

DEFINING YOU IN YOUR WRITING!
What does writing teach us? What does each story we write say to the potential reader? How can writers strive to tell stories better and better and stay true to their literary style?
These are all questions you should ask your self when trying to define your literary style or stay on course with your writing style.
We all know at times it can be a bit hard to stay the course in our storytelling, but with knowing who you are as a writer and lots of reading, any writer can define who they are in their writing.
It's important to know the types of stories you wish to tell as well as incorporating your own techniques. Whether made up or a collage of many techniques made into your own over time; it will make your stories very interesting and rather unique.
As you develop this, and keep it up, your stories will touch many readers in a major way.

FIND YOUR STORY IDEA IN "YOUR STORY."
Some say it's hard to dig deep to pen a great novel. Some say it's a piece a cake. We say "find your story idea "in your story."
When you dig in the deepest part of you, it allows you to think about what's there. It sends you on a phenomenal ride into your own story; pieced together with words, sentences, verbs, and interesting experiences, all courtesy of your every day life.
We all know finding something to write about isn't that hard at all. It comes down to thinking and devouring the energy you posses in order to be as creative as you can.
It comes down to you, the writer in every sense of what you have to offer and what it is you want to say.

INSPIRED BY...
What are you inspired by? Who are you inspired by? What tickles your insides for you to write something down?
These are questions we ask ourselves as writers all the time, as there's always something to get inspired by.
Inspiration comes from many different things. Things that we see, taste, hear, touch, lick, smell etc...

FLOWING AND SHOWING!
Writing gives us that feeling of release and awareness that we just don't get anywhere else. Staring back at your words tells you something about yourself in more ways than we care to admit.

TAKING TIME TO TELL YOUR STORIES!
Unique storytelling is of the writer's voice. It's the magic that comes from a true writer who wants to tell their stories.
Taking time to tell your stories is something that you should do in order to tell them, the way you want them to be told.

WRITING FEVER!
Do you have writing fever? Have you ever had that tingling inside, where you had to write to tell a story?
Many people have, that's why there's so many authors in the world. Writing to some, is that burning to tell your story or a story. Writing is poetic at best with, wild metaphors, tramatic thoughts, and a fever of "I have to write!"
Today, ask yourself do you have that writing fever where you're burning to tell a story. If so, nuture that burning feeling by writing and not holding back. Put yourself into and tell your story the way you want it to be told.

UGLY INSPIRATION!
Inspiration can come from any experience, relationship, friendship, and many other sources.
As we continue to live our lives we more often experience "ugly" situations, that take hold and paralyze us in more ways than we care to admit. Looking at those situations can sometime give us a story, a poem, or an essay that's meaningful.
Life is beautiful as we know it to be, and with life comes the bad, the very bad and the ugly. Getting inspired from ugly experiences can help heal those situations.
Today, as you begin to write and work on your novel or write in your journal, think about an "ugly" situation that has stopped you, paralyzed you, and gain inspiration from it. Show, don't tell!
Is an admonition to fiction writers to write in a manner that allows the reader to experience the story through a character's action, words, thoughts, senses, and feelings rather than through the narrator's exposition, summarization, and description.
Writing in this way is very important, as it allows your reader to develop images of where the story takes place, what the character looks like, and many other aspects of your story. Showing the reader is unique to every writer. As you tell your story, you show it to your reader in your own unique writing style.
That's a clear indication that your writing is different and that you can totally pull off the showing aspect of the story as you tell it.
