SPICY LIT NIGHT CAP! POETRY PLAY: I Wondered Lonely As A Cloud!

I WONDERED LONELY AS A CLOUD BY: William Wordsworth

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed---and gazed---but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

SPICY LIT NIGHT CAP! POETRY PLAY: Dying Their Wings!

DYING THEIR WINGS BY: Vachel Lindsay

The moon's a cottage with a door.
Some folks can see it plain.
Look, you may catch a glint of light,
A sparkle through the pane,
Showing the place is brighter still
Within, though bright without.
There, at a cosy open fire
Strange babes are grouped about.
The children of the wind and tide--
The urchins of the sky,
Drying their wings from storms and things
So they again can fly.

READ, READ AND READ!!

Reading is informative and fun!

When a writer reads daily it helps with their writing. It gives them new ideas and news ways to make their stories come alive.

As you know, reading is more than just finding new ways to tell a story. It's pure inspiration and then some.

Words on paper gives us messages that we may not get from our friends or family. It gives us that epiphany and it gives us lessons.

Today; focus on reading more. As you do it and do it often, it can help you in more ways than ever before.

SPICY LIT NIGHT CAP! POETRY PLAY: I Knew A Woman!

I KNEW A WOMAN BY: Theordore Roethke

I knew a woman, lovely in her bones,
When small birds sighed, she would sigh back at them;
Ah, when she moved, she moved more ways than one:
The shapes a bright container can contain!
Of her choice virtues only gods should speak,
Or English poets who grew up on Greek
(I'd have them sing in chorus, cheek to cheek.)

How well her wishes went! She stroked my chin,
She taught me Turn, and Counter-turn, and stand;
She taught me Touch, that undulant white skin:
I nibbled meekly from her proffered hand;
She was the sickle; I, poor I, the rake,
Coming behind her for her pretty sake
(But what prodigious mowing did we make.)

Love likes a gander, and adores a goose:
Her full lips pursed, the errant note to seize;
She played it quick, she played it light and loose;
My eyes, they dazzled at her flowing knees;
Her several parts could keep a pure repose,
Or one hip quiver with a mobile nose
(She moved in circles, and those circles moved.)

Let seed be grass, and grass turn into hay:
I'm martyr to a motion not my own;
What's freedom for? To know eternity.
I swear she cast a shadow white as stone.
But who would count eternity in days?
These old bones live to learn her wanton ways:
(I measure time by how a body sways.)

GROW IN YOUR WRITING!

Growing in your writing is a must. The more you write, the more your writing should get better.

As you write more and more, your growth should be more apparent in how you tell your stories. You should be able to recognize it by looking back on past stories that you have written.

It's very important as a writer to track your growth so you can see what you must do to improve daily.

Today; think about how far you've come in your writing. Always look to improve no matter how successful you become as a writer. At the end of the day it keeps you in check and humble.

SPICY LIT NIGHT CAP! POETRY PLAY: To A Stranger!

TO A STRANGER BY: Walt Whitman

PASSING stranger! you do not know how longingly I look upon you,
You must be he I was seeking, or she I was seeking, (it comes to me, as of a dream,)
I have somewhere surely lived a life of joy with you,
All is recall’d as we flit by each other, fluid, affectionate, chaste, matured,
You grew up with me, were a boy with me, or a girl with me,
I ate with you, and slept with you—your body has become not yours only, nor left my body
mine
only,
You give me the pleasure of your eyes, face, flesh, as we pass—you take of my beard,
breast,
hands, in return,
I am not to speak to you—I am to think of you when I sit alone, or wake at night alone,
I am to wait—I do not doubt I am to meet you again,
I am to see to it that I do not lose you.

SPICY LIT NIGHT CAP! POETRY PLAY: Each Ecstastic Instant!

EACH ECSTATIC INSTANT BY: Emily Dickinson

For each ecstatic instant
We must an anguish pay
In keen and quivering ratio
To the ecstasy.

For each beloved hour
Sharp pittances of years,
Bitter contested farthings
And coffers heaped with tears.

Feel the writing rhythm when you get creative and write down your story ideas.

In order to love creating stories for your reading audience, finding your groove is very important.  It helps you to become "one" with the potential story.

Allowing yourself to feel it and get into the flow will make your story flow like the wild seas of the Atlantic.

SPICY LIT NIGHT CAP! Poetry Play: A Precious-mouldering pleasure!

A PRECIOUS-MOULDERING PLEASURE BY: Emily Dickinson

A precious—mouldering pleasure—'tis—
To meet an Antique Book—
In just the Dress his Century wore—
A privilege—I think—

His venerable Hand to take—
And warming in our own—
A passage back—or two—to make—
To Times when he—was young—

His quaint opinions—to inspect—
His thought to ascertain
On Themes concern our mutual mind—
The Literature of Man—

What interested Scholars—most—
What Competitions ran—
When Plato—was a Certainty—
And Sophocles—a Man—

When Sappho—was a living Girl—
And Beatrice wore
The Gown that Dante—deified—
Facts Centuries before

He traverses—familiar—
As One should come to Town—
And tell you all your Dreams—were true—
He lived—where Dreams were born—

His presence is Enchantment—
You beg him not to go—
Old Volume shake their Vellum Heads
And tantalize—just so—

SPICY LIT NIGHT CAP! Poetry Play: "Why Do I Love" You, Sir?

"WHY DO I LOVE" YOU, SIR? BY: Emily Dickinson

"Why do I love" You, Sir?
Because—
The Wind does not require the Grass
To answer—Wherefore when He pass
She cannot keep Her place.

Because He knows—and
Do not You—
And We know not—
Enough for Us
The Wisdom it be so—

The Lightning—never asked an Eye
Wherefore it shut—when He was by—
Because He knows it cannot speak—
And reasons not contained—
—Of Talk—
There be—preferred by Daintier Folk—

The Sunrise—Sire—compelleth Me—
Because He's Sunrise—and I see—
Therefore—Then—
I love Thee—

SPICY LIT NIGHT CAP! Poetry Play: Serenade!

SERENADE BY: Edgar Allen Poe
So sweet the hour, so calm the time,
I feel it more than half a crime,
When Nature sleeps and stars are mute,
To mar the silence ev'n with lute.
At rest on ocean's brilliant dyes
An image of Elysium lies:
Seven Pleiades entranced in Heaven,
Form in the deep another seven:
Endymion nodding from above
Sees in the sea a second love.
Within the valleys dim and brown,
And on the spectral mountain's crown,
The wearied light is dying down,
And earth, and stars, and sea, and sky
Are redolent of sleep, as I
Am redolent of thee and thine
Enthralling love, my Adeline.
But list, O list,- so soft and low
Thy lover's voice tonight shall flow,
That, scarce awake, thy soul shall deem
My words the music of a dream.
Thus, while no single sound too rude
Upon thy slumber shall intrude,
Our thoughts, our souls- O God above!
In every deed shall mingle, love.

ROCK YOUR VERBAGE!

SPICY LIT NIGHT CAP! Random Thoughts Play: Random Thoughts Of Inspiration!

RANDOM THOUGHTS OF INSPIRATION BY: Literary Diva BTR

*Visionary aspects of divine sentiments hold your eye still to capture time in a portal of evolution.

*Juicy summer gets close to smooth skin as it drips with sweet sweat and tap dances softly with innocent play on play.

*Brain soaks up yummy goodness and climax at the speed of light.

*Laughing hysterically keeps time captured in a small box if only for a moment.

*Trembling corpuscles hits you like girlish play as your foreplay controls the moment.

*Salacious egos say touch me, tease me, and baby please me.

*Climatic whispers intrude the body at the speed of light; only to feel the take over and hide into psychotic vulnerability.

*Love bubbles drip blissful foreplay in my eardrum to only turn my body into a harp.

*Seeing is believing, as seeing is truth and believing is evolution.

INSPIRED BY...

What are you inspired by? Who are you inspired by? What tickles your insides for you to write something down?

These are questions we ask ourselves as writers all the time, as there's always something to get inspired by.

Inspiration comes from many different things. Things that we see, taste, hear, touch, lick, smell etc...

It's in moments when our senses are working we are inspired and I mean very inspired. It's something we all have, we just have to tap into it.

Today; get inspired by something you love, like, want, need, or that something that tickles the depths of your soul.

You never know where it may take you in your story.

SPICY LIT NIGHT CAP! Poetry Play: In Particular!

IN PARTICULAR BY: Djuna Barnes

WHAT loin-cloth, what rag of wrong
    Unpriced?
What turn of body, what of lust
Undiced?
So we’ve worshipped you a little
More than Christ.
